2002 Chevy Tahoe keeps running strong with over 300,000 miles!
I have been taking my 2002 Chevy Tahoe to Val & Mike’s Auto Repair for years. Actually, Mike and I were running buds until last year before his back surgery. Now look at him back in action and training! If he can keep running he is definitely the one that can keep my Chevy Tahoe running which has over 300,000 miles.
My Tahoe is in excellent condition and I expect that it will last quite a bit longer especially with the recent repairs Val & Mike’s Auto Repair did. I believe in regular maintenance and it pays off since I just recently replaced the original radiator and water pump. While working on the Tahoe, the auto mechanic also recommended replacing the spark plugs. His observation was due to their condition, not that I was experiencing an engine miss. They were originally replaced at 100,000 miles so I agreed with the maintenance repair. Wow what a difference in gas mileage! According to my calculations I am getting an additional 45 miles more per tank of gas since the replacement of the spark plugs.
Another nice maintenance repair I did was replacing the shocks. I got so use to driving on the worn shocks I did not realize I even had a problem. Again, what a difference four new shocks makes in the suspension. The truck rides so much smoother now.
Val & Mike state that if you take care of your car it will take care of you. I am very confident these recent maintenance services will allow me to keep driving safely and save me some money! Larry C. Costa Mesa
Other symptoms can occur to indicate time to replace the spark plugs. If you are experiencing the following, it’s time to have your car checked out:
• Check engine light on
• Engine has a rough idle
• Trouble Starting
• Engine misfires
• High fuel consumption
• Lack of acceleration
