We had a little excitement at the shop this morning. A fledgling Cooper’s Hawk was in the street in front of the shop. When one of our techs tried to shoo it up to the grass it wouldn’t move. The tech picked him up and moved him on to the grass. We watched him for a few minutes and realized that he wasn’t trying to fly, but he was trying to hop back into the street. We put him under a milk crate and called animal control. The officer arrived and checked on him. She determined that his tail feathers didn’t look right so she took him in to be looked at. He was such a beautiful bird and we all hope he is ok!
